Students will study the elements that are necessary for a thriving business: business plan, capital needs, marketing strategies, legal and tax issues, forms of ownership, employee management, new technologies, sales, marketing and new product development. They will acquire skills particular to entrepreneurs but transferable to the general business environment.

Students must demonstrate Algebra I competency before taking courses in the major. Algebra I competency may be verified with a passing score on the College’s placement test or by completing the appropriate class.
