The marketing program lays a strong foundation for alert, creative individuals who are capable of bringing new ideas and talents to dynamic and diversified businesses in promoting and selling their goods and services.
Students acquire a firm base of knowledge of business law and mathematics, accounting, computer applications, and economics. Students also study courses in general education and specific courses in marketing.
Graduates of the program will be able to:
- Discuss theories and business practices in marketing, based on a strong foundation of knowledge.
- Develop promotional strategies within social, ethical, and regulatory guidelines.
- Use market information to make appropriate and effective marketing decisions.
Prerequisites
Students must demonstrate Algebra I competency before taking courses in the major. Algebra I competency may be verified with a passing score on the College’s placement test or by completing the appropriate class.
