Business – Liberal Arts
A broad-based program of study in the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, mathematics, and technology is a catalyst for future business leaders.
The Business Program provides a strong liberal arts foundation that equips students with invaluable employability skills including the ability to analyze and construct arguments, think critically, communicate effectively, and appreciate diverse cultures and perspectives.
Graduates of the program will be able to:
- Possess college literacy in business, the sciences, and humanities and be able to transfer to a bachelor-degree granting institution.
- Understand the role of business in society.
- Demonstrate critical thinking by analysis and interpreting recent trends in business and their environment.
- Apply social responsibility and ethics to general business practices.
Prerequisites
Students must demonstrate Algebra I competency before taking courses in the major. Algebra I competency may be verified with a passing score on the College’s placement test or by completing the appropriate class. Students must also have a grade of “C” or better in one year of high school laboratory science.
